camera fun

i am apart of a "photography club" that a friend started up in our ward.

it's a ton of fun and i have already learned so much about my camera!

i love it! it's so rewarding when you end up with some

awesome pictures!

i also have been following some blogs.

they are such an amazing resource and have also taught me a lot.

Here are a few examples of what i've learned so far...

in this picture i learned how to take a "Bokeh" picture.

it's where you set your aperture setting as low as you can

and your object stays in focus but your background is blurred.

these types of pictures are really popular right now!

i don't have a Bokeh lens but i think my zoom lens did a pretty good job!

on the 71 toes blog she gave some really helpful tips on lighting.

she says to put away your flash!

sometimes a flash can ruin your picture.

she said to try taking your pictures either at sunrise or sunset.

in the picture above i took this of brigham at sunset.

the lighting that you get when you are in a door way or on a

back patio is amazing! you want some shade but enough light as well.

i don't know what you think, but i think it turned out pretty good!!

i can't wait to learn tons more!

the next thing i need to master is photo shop!
